CityTagz was dreamed up as an MFA thesis project at the University of Southern California's Interactive Media department as a means to enhance spatial and historical awareness in the city of Los Angeles. CityTagz was launched on April 2007, and is still looking for beta testers. For more details on the inspiration and scope of this project, the MFA thesis paper is provided in full.
At the moment, CityTagz is intended to be used as a community mapping tool for the LA area only. This project can accomodate the "tagging" of any city, and this opportunity may be made available in the future, depending on demand. The target audience is LA's youth, a group whose views, opinions, and actions will shape the city's future.
CityTagz is a not for profit educational project. More details can be found in the disclaimer below. |
